Designing a bridal shop website template is a project that I have longed to work on. I was so excited to work with a client who I have had a long-standing relationship with.
Emmy of Refined Bridal Boutique Co. is one of my favorite people in the world. An entrepreneur who is killing it and a very present mama, she’s an inspiration and a force for good in her community.
Emmy owns Blush Bridal Boutique, Lovebird Jewelry Collective, and now Refined Bridal Co. I have had the honor of working with her on every single one of her brands and websites, and I get so excited every time a new project lands in my inbox. She is kind, driven, and an inspiration.
When Emmy contacted me about her newest business, it was important to her that her new website and brand reach a different target market than her current boutique. Reflecting bridalwear simplified, she wanted the branding and website to be clean and simple but still elevated.
Her target market for this business is brides who know what they want and want an easy way to get it. They still value small business and personal service but don’t require the experience of shopping everywhere to find the perfect dress.
I knew we could translate her heart and vision into this new project and make her branding and website fit this particular market.
The professional rebrand package that I put together for Refined Bridal Boutique Co included the works:
- The Brand Foundation and Brand Identity Design
- Brand Stationery
- Custom ShowIt Website
Step 01. The Brand Foundation and Brand Identity Design
I love how this business is an evolution of what Emmy’s already-established boutique stood for. It is a way for her to serve the brides that her current boutique couldn’t support.
A few things stood out when I read Emmy’s brand foundation questionnaire.
The values that drive her business are words such as opportunity, authenticity
honesty, gratitude, reliability, and growth.
She wanted to be known as a boutique bridal shopping experience that is easy, friendly, relaxed, fun, and effortless.
For her brand colors, we chose: Skylight, Sky, Cameo, Shell, Cloud, and White.
Each of these colors has a relaxed and effortless feel to them. They’re soft and inviting.
We used a soft pink brushstroke pattern and her secondary logo as a custom pattern for brand elements.
Step 02. Marketing Materials and Brand Collateral
With the brand foundation in place, we got to work on some of my favorite brand collateral.
For Refined Bridal Co, we designed business cards, tags, and thank you cards for the brides who purchase their gowns.
Having worked with me before and possessing a savvy business mind, Emmy knew the importance of being cohesive with her branding and carrying it through every element of her business.
We branded the ‘details’ and had a blast doing it. These materials elevate each bride’s experience and demonstrate that they’re working with a legitimate business that cares about the little things.
Step 03. Custom ShowIt Website
Next up was designing the bridal shop website template. Each page is laid out strategically and flows in a very clear and easy-to-understand way. Customers will feel the same way navigating the website as they’ll feel shopping in-store.
We kept the designs elevated yet minimal, showing brides-to-be that a simple process does not mean less support. Their website is thoughtfully done in the same way their customer journey is thoughtfully prepared.
The custom Showit site also includes the capability to view all of the gowns in stock and add them to a wish list. It also allows the bridal shop employees to pull customers’ looks (and others that are inspired by their selections) for their appointment to streamline the process.
We also designed the site with all of the strategies to lead to booking an appointment and help the brides understand the difference between Refined Bridal Co and other bridal boutiques.
Now, you can’t stop by this website and not want to visit the boutique. I want to plan a vow renewal with my husband just so I can shop for a bridal dress here.
