A portrait photography website design for a photographer who loves golden hour as much as I do is a dream come true for me!
When Francesca of Francesca Marchese Photography hired us to design her brand and website, she got candid. And, we loved it!
She described her current website as “blah,” lamenting that it “looked like a blank low budget template” that didn’t give off an established business vibe.
You can see why we wanted to help! It’s the best job in the world to get to help your clients fall in love with their websites and get excited about sending people to the one place they use to cringe over.

Even though her price was on her website, she’d get inquiries about her price. When she replied with her price, they’d ghost her.
We had to help her change that because she is incredibly talented. Her work speaks for itself, but her website didn’t help spotlight it in a way that strategically sold to leads.
I was enamored by her gold light photography and how talented she is. She’s a Click Pro Educator, which is an honor. I was thrilled to design a brand and website that she loved and that adequately showcased her talent.
In 2019, Francesca was named by ClickinMoms as one of the Top 100 Photographers to Watch, so we had to give her something better, for goodness sake.

Step 01. The Brand Foundation and Brand Identity Design
When I read through Francesca’s brand foundation questionnaire, a few things stood out.
She makes her sessions fun in order to capture genuine smiles and has a passion for using light, which shines through (pun intended!).
She loves photographing families and, more than using props, loves capturing missing teeth, new freckles, big boy haircuts, and a new baby in a mommy’s belly.
This along with her love for natural wood, inspired everything we did with her branding.
For her brand colors we chose: Navy, Leaf, Mustard, Coral, Blush, and Greige
Step 02. Marketing Materials and Brand Collateral
With the brand foundation in place, business cards were a breeze! We carried her brand through to the cards, printed them with our high-quality print partner, and had them shipped to her door.
We also designed note cards so she can send personalized notes to her clients.
Step 03. Custom ShowIt Portrait Photography Website
Next up was designing Francesca’s website. It simply glows. Every image showcases her golden light style and is framed by her brand colors in a beautiful layout. This ensures that her work is the centerpiece.
Each page is laid out strategically, enticing customers to continue clicking to learn more.
