Today I am going to share with you the photographer rebrand story of my client Melanie the owner and photographer behind Golden Collective Photography.
The first thing I do after a potential client reaches out to me is stalk them. 😂 I am not even ashamed to admit it. I head to their website to see their work and check them out on social media to get to know them a bit better before the call. I didn’t even need to have a call with Melanie to know we were a good fit, I had already fallen in love with her – via her 2 golden retrievers! If you didn’t know, I am a bit dog obsessed and couldn’t believe how adorable her dogs were. Plus, her work was pretty awesome so I couldn’t wait to get started. We had a call and hit it off instantly and I knew this was going to be a dream project.
Even though I had already decided we were a dream team, here is what Melanie had to say about knowing I was the one:

On our strategy session we talked about the budget Melanie had to work with as well as the goals she had for her business. The package that I had created for Melanie included:
When Melanie shared her brand inspiration and the images I got to work with for her website, I was downright giddy! Guys, her headshots included her pups! YES! Dream come true!
During the first phase of the project, the brand foundation, I started working through the creation of the color palette, font selection, design the brand identity logos, and bring it all together by showing the client how the styling of the brand comes together.
After the brand foundation was all set and super dreamy, I set out to start working on the website portion of the project. By working with the budget that Melanie had for her project we had decided that we would design a custom homepage and 10 building blocks to be used to create and add the custom feel to the template she selected. This allowed us to create a simpler process where she rolled up her sleeves and did more of the work on her own site by adding her own content for the pages and allowing me to just hop in and add a bit of flair. I love how her site all come together and how it really showcases her photography style and how passionate she is about her work.
