One of my favorite parts of owning a branding design business is being able to work with clients as they grow and evolve as a brand and business! I have been so lucky to work with my client The Dance Works in Kearney, Nebraska on their dance studio brand project.
I have been able to see their thriving dance studio grow so much over the past few years as well as watch them find their voice in their brand. I was ecstatic when the owner Siera reached out to me for this dance studio brand project I couldn’t wait to get started. I have loved working with them on every single project and this was no exception.

- Brand Foundation and Brand Identity Design
- Updating their Sister Brand The Company by Dance Works
- Newsletter Header and Email Signatures
Step 01. The Brand Foundation and Brand Identity Design
After designing the original brand for The Dance Works, I was very intrigued to see the inspiration that Siera was putting together for a rebrand project. Boy she did not let me down! I was heart eyes as soon as she shared her Pinterest Board with me and I couldn’t wait to start designing. It isn’t often you get to design a bold, colorful brand that is fun, fresh, and young!
The first step in the process is to nail down the foundation of the brand including the color palette, font selection, and patterns. From there I set out to design the brand identity and alternate logos.
Step 02. Brand Collateral and Supporting Sister Brand Update
Next, I designed their newsletter header and her email signature. These were developed as Canva Templates that they studio will be able to update and use for additional employees and categorized newsletters.
What I want you to know is that the studio has taken their branding and applied it flawlessly to their social media as well as all of the moving parts to a dance studio. This studio is located in the town that I live in and driving around town seeing the “A TWD Dancer Lives Here” yard signs left me beaming with pride! They were so on brand and adorable! PLUS they branded their entire studio and it is perfection. Once we are out of the middle of a pandemic, I am going to stop by and photograph it all so I can proudly show it all off!
While The Dance Works is the studio name they have a sister brand called The Company within the studio. I also updated the branding for this sector and it is one of the brand designs that I am most proud of.
To be able to support small businesses and the dreams of their owners is what makes my world go round! Not only, did I have the honor to design this dance studio brand, I have had the privilege of being real life friends (client turned friend) with Siera and I can’t say enough great things about her – she is the sweetest.
